Think the Guild is taking the Summer off? Think again! Come out during the last weekends of June, July, and August for our Youth Theatre Workshop Series!

Shadow Puppet Workshop with Brian Fidler
June 23rd, 10am - 3pm
Ages 10 - 14
Fee: $40
Build a dinosaur with flesh-tearing jaws!  Construct a princess with moving eyes!  Puppeteer and performer Brian Fidler leads this fun class in the fundamentals of shadow puppetry.  This one-day class is for the crafty young performer who likes to create and perform their own shows. Friends and family are invited to attend a presentation at the end of the workshop.

One-Weekend World Premiere with Brandon Wicke
July 28th & 29th
Ages 12 - 16

Are you a creative jack-of-all-trades? Want to learn about the many jobs that come together to make a great play? Are you ready to be in the spotlight and work behind the scenes all at the same time? 

Then join us as we produce our own play from scratch! Go from page to stage and everywhere in between with local playwright and theatre educator Brandon Wicke, as he guides students in collaboratively writing, designing, promoting, rehearsing and performing their own play - all in just one weekend!  Put your teamwork and creativity to the test in this fast-paced two-day theatrical race-to-the-finish! On Sunday, friends and family are invited to the World Premiere of our brand new play.

Play to Perform with Mary Sloan

What a great way to kick off your school year! Connect with fellow actors and hone your skills on The Guild stage! Mary Sloan brings her wealth of theatre knowledge to this dynamic weekend workshop. Packed with games and scene work, this is the perfect way to end your summer. We will explore scenes from existing plays and bring them to life for a final performance for family and friends.
