Joe Bishop is a singer songwriter that arrived to the Yukon in 1989 with a backpack, a book of original songs and a guitar. Years later, he has accumulated among other things, dozens more notebooks full of original songs about life in the north. Influence from Bob Dylan, John Prine and Hank Williams can be heard throughout his material. Accompanied with acoustic guitar, Joe’s primary strength as a songwriter is in his lyrics. Story telling and humour are integral parts of his live performances.
