Raised a continent apart, Katie Avery and Graeme Poile found common ground in their shared love of fiddle and folk music.
After studying violin at the University of Toronto, Katie moved to Whitehorse in 2012, where she has since built a dynamic career as a performer, violin teacher, and Artistic and Executive Director of Whitehorse Concerts.
Graeme, a mainstay of the Yukon music scene, has performed with bands including the Hinterlands, The Moanin’ Mountain Boys, and The Sideguys, and draws on his jazz studies at Vancouver Island University to shape his sound.
Their collaboration brings together classical precision, folk traditions, and a spirit of spontaneity.
